Lash Lift Perth: What You Need to Know Before Booking
Wondering if a lash lift is worth it or if it’s the right treatment to give you those long lashes you’ve always dreamed of? If you've never had anything done to your lashes and you're starting to consider your options to make your lashes look longer and fuller, then keep reading below to see all of the details!
What is a Keratin Lash lift?
A lash lift is an in-salon treatment that will give you instantly longer lashes by curling your lashes from the root to the tip and increasing the overall length of your natural lashes.
The lift is created with silicon eye pads and a gentle lash perm solution to set your curl into place.
We are a little bit biased because we do these treatments so much! and I get to see the results on clients every single day. Lash lifts are 100% worth it, you just need to make sure that you get the right type of lash lift done, and that you've ruled out the possibility that you may be better suited for lash extensions.. More about lash extensions can be found here.
Which lash lift brands are best?
There are many brands of lash lift systems on the market. It's important to me to be educated on the differences so that you can choose the best brand for your lashes.
Our salon uses a high-quality keratin-based formula that is super gentle on your natural lashes, As it has a slow processing time, it also infuses your lashes with vitamins, making sure that they remain healthy and strong during and after your lift.
How long does a lash lift take?
A keratin lash lift typically takes 45 minutes to an hour.
Who shouldn't do a lash lift?
Lashes vary in fullness and length, lash lifts are typically suitable for someone who has medium to long lashes and a good amount of fullness. So if you fall into this category, a lash lift is generally the best option for you to start with. If you have extremely short or fine lashes, we would recommend using a booster serum before getting a lash lift for 8-12 weeks, this will get your lashes in a healthier condition and as long as possible so the lash lift can take its full effect.
It's not recommended to do a lash lift if you have claustrophobia (because your eyes are shut during the entire treatment) or if your lashes are shorter than 2mm. It’s not recommended to get a lash lift too close together, so if you have recently had one within the last 6 weeks, we recommend waiting 7-8 weeks before your next appointment.
Does a lash lift damage your natural lashes?
A lash lift will not damage your natural lashes when done correctly and a reputable brand has been used. We have had many clients coming to us with over-processed lashes that look ‘frazzled’, this can happen if the correct processing times were not followed, or a quality brand was not used.
Are Lash lifts safe while pregnant?
We regularly have ladies come in and get their lashes done during pregnancy, as the brand we use is completely safe. However, if you are ever in doubt always check with your healthcare provider.
When can I wear mascara after a lash lift?
We recommend waiting 24 hours before applying mascara so that the solution has time to take its full effect.
How do I know if a lash lift is right for me?
This really depends on what your lash goals are. For clients that come to us wanting longer lashes, we would recommend starting with a keratin lash lift as well as using a growth serum to boost the natural lashes between visits.
If a client came to us and wanted fuller, fluffier lashes, we may recommend lash extensions instead, as this treatment gives the length as well as a soft fullness.
We offer three options for your lashes; here is a quick guide -
Lash tinting - darkens your natural lashes and lasts 2–6 weeks, depending on your lash type. It's great for those who have blonde or light lashes because the colouring process makes your lashes stand out.
Keratin lash lifts - gives you up to 5x longer and darker lashes, by curling your lashes from the root to the tip. Lasts up to 8 weeks depending on your lash cycle.
Lash extensions - the best of both worlds for fuller and longer lashes. Each set of lash extensions or I'm going completely customized it to suit your lash type and face shape.
