OMBRE OR MICROBLADING: WHICH ONE IS BEST SUITED FOR YOU?
Feeling unsure whether microblading or ombre is the right service for you? Looking at tons of photos can be even more confusing because each style looks great on the right face - but we want to help educate you on the difference so you get the right results!
Photos can be deceiving. So sometimes you might look at a before and after photo and think, "Oh yes, I like that result that she's got." Or you might see one that makes you think, "Oh no, that's too bold for my brows." However, each person has a very individual brow and skin type. The other thing to know is that the healed results are very different from a photo taken straight after the treatment. During the healing phase, you're going to lose about 50% of the colour. So even if you are looking at a photo that looks a bit bold right after the treatment, it will soften and look more natural as it heals.
So let's jump right into the main differences between feather touch and ombre.
Feathertouch, aka microblading, is the method by which individual hair strokes are put into the brow, and they should look very natural and basically give the illusion of eyebrow ‘hairs'. The purpose of the feather touch is to correct the shape of the eyebrows, so if your brows are really uneven or you find that you have gaps throughout, the feather touch will add fullness.
The beauty of the feathering is that you can add makeup over top and it will make it look fuller. You won't have to worry about getting the shapes, because that will already be done for you. When you're wearing more makeup, you can just put on more brow products, which will enhance the look.
Ombre eyebrows are the next level up, and they're for someone who likes to wear more makeup on their brows. if you pencil or powder in your brows every day, or if you want to stop tinting or getting henna on your brows and really lower your maintenance.
The other thing to note about the ombre is we will customize the shape and colour to suit your face, so you're not going to look unnatural. You will go through a bit of a process during the healing phase where the colour will be one to two shades darker until it heals.
Ombre is built up slowly over the two sessions - the first layer will be done on your first appointment, and you will then usually return around 6 weeks later for the follow-up. This way you can ease into the process slowly.
